Fattah Rahman Municipal School

BACKGROUND

Fattah Rahman Municipal School is a government assessed/subsidised school which was opened in October 1963 by the late mayor of Freetown Alderman Abdul Fattah Rahman


The School was divided into two separate parts for Infants and Juniors in 2006/07.


CURRENT STATUS

The Infants section accommodates Classes 1, 2 and 3 and the Juniors section accommodates Classes 4, 5 and 6.


The Infants section currently has 333 students with the following breakdown:-

The number of staff including the Head Teacher Mrs Sylvia Johnson is 7.

OTHER INFORMATION

The Sierra Leone government currently subsidises the school with 500,000 leones per term for the 333 students. This amount is used to meet the costs of general maintenance, day to day running, stationery and other costs of the school. The Junior section is headed by Mrs Hazinatu Pratt and has 400 students.


FEES

The students are not required to pay school fees but are expected to pay their examination fees and a few other things. Louminati Youth Leadership Foundation and Tebbs Second Chances will focus on supporting the Infants section of Fattah Rahman.
